Meredith Salenger

Salenger lived in Malibu. She enjoyed performing for her loved ones and relatives as young children. She was taken by her mother to her first acting class when she was just eight years old. Salenger played a small role in the film as "a dance and singing orphan" in John Huston's feature film Annie. Salenger was also featured in a few television commercials. Her first role as a lead actor was as a character in her role in the Disney movie The Journey of Natty Gann which starred John Cusack and Ray Wise which was the first US movie to win the coveted gold prize from the Moscow Film Festival. Salenger was also named "Best actor in drama" by the Youth in Film Awards, for her performance as the youthful Natty. In her early 20s, she was cast in another four movies, including A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon. In the following years, she relocated to Harvard in order to pursue her education.
